Jackson Simango

Mr. Jackson Simango Magoge is a dedicated legal professional and expert. He earned his Master of Law (LL.M) in Corporate and Commercial law from NALSAR University of Law, a national law school in India. Also, he holds a Master of Law in Information Technology and Telecommunications (LL.M in ICT &T) from the Open University of Tanzania. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (PGDLP) from the Law School of Tanzania.  Moreover, Mr. Jackson holds a Baccalaureate of Laws (LL.B) from Moshi Co-operative University; his commitment to the legal profession is evident through his role as Assistant lecturer and  Corporate and Commercial law consultant at the National Institute of Transport (NIT) and Untamed Legal Advisory, respectively. Complementing his journey, he pursued additional training and proficiency in legal metrology at ACP-EU, Belgium.

Mr. Jackson has a proven ability to learn challenging concepts quickly in legal practices. He has developed competencies in diverse areas of law, such as Intellectual Property Law, Tax law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Digital economy law, Emerging technology, Aviation Law, legalmetrology,andcorporateandcommerciallaw.

These triumphs accorded him professional conduct and keenness to excel in the legal field, and he published more than ten research articles in esteemed and reputable journals and international conferences. Mr. Jackson has published a book on International taxation law titled “ Navigating Permanent Establishment in the Digital Economy: Taxing the Digital Landscape in Tanzania” with ISBN-13  : 978-6205510490.

Jackson’s notable involvements include:

  • Extensive experience assisting a variety of clients with matters relating to IP, especially with an emphasis on the original drafting of applications and strategies. Also. Jackson has managed disputes relating to trademarks, passing off, copyright, database, and design rights, including trademark licensing.
  • Advised clients on various licenses and permits required for specific projects.
  • Assisted companies in incorporating a subsidiary in Tanzania.
  • Advised listed companies on adopting and amending their articles of association to reflect changes in legislation, the Listing Rules, and general market practice.
